Overview
Transylvania and Wallachia Castles Tour
Board a comfortable minibus at the scheduled time from Modarom Building, in central Braşov, and head to central Romania. The first stop of the excursion is only 30 minutes away from the city center.
Hop off the bus close to Bran Castle. This beautiful landmark is also known as “Dracula’s Castle”. Accompanied by your guide, visit its numerous rooms while you learn about Vlad Tepes “the Impaler”. The terrifying stories about this fifteenth century sinister historic figure, also called Vlad Dracula, inspired Bram Stoker to write his famous novel “Dracula”.
After visiting Dracula’s Castle, drive to Sinaia, in the mountainous region of Muntenia. You’ll have half an hour to discover the area at your own leisure or have a bite to eat. Then, meet your guide and embark on a guided tour of Peleş Castle.
Established at the end of the nineteenth century, commissioned by Carol I of Romania. It was the first building in Europe to have electricity and an elevator. Explore its charming gardens decorated with fountains and sculptures before you go inside the majestic building. Admire its sumptuous decoration, which was typical of mansions built before World War I.
After the visit at Peles, continue with a visit to the 17th century Sinaia Monastery, a place of traditions and religious symbols.
From Sinaia, you’ll head back to Braşov. During the one-hour journey, you’ll skirt the striking Bucegi Mountains.
